11 years after Bad Boys 2, Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are teaming up for the third installment in their popular shoot ‘em up series. During a predictably hilarious appearance on Conan last night, Lawrence confirmed what we’ve all been waiting to hear by announcing that Bad Boys 3 is in the works. The 49-year-old actor revealed that he spoke with Jerry Bruckheimer (producer of the first two Bad Boys) this week, who said that the project is “real” and a script is close to completion.

Now, there’s been talk of Bad Boys 3 happening for a few years already, with Martin dropping hints as early as 2011, but this is the most promising development so far. Bad Boys for life.
